South Sudanese President Salva Kiir fell down soon after arriving in the Sudanese capital Khartoum on Tuesday, according to Sudanese journalists at the Khartoum airport.

Security agents of the Sudanese government quickly confiscated the cameras of journalists covering the visit of the South Sudanese leader and forced them to delete images of the fall.

Witnesses said that Salva Kiir appeared fatigued and fell as he was boarding his airplane, after meeting President Omar al Bashir, near the door to the aircraft.

Aides then appeared to help him onto the airplane. After a short time, he was then taken from the aircraft again and taken to a car. His present whereabouts have not been announced.

Multiple high-level officials in both governments, including Ambassador Mutrif Siddig, Sudan’s envoy to South Sudan, said that Kiir may not return to Juba today as earlier planned. However, they blamed an aircraft fault for the delay.
