South Sudanese refugees in Uganda’s Bidi Bidi Refugees Camp on Monday said many people suffer from diseases due to heavy rains amid lack of medicines.

Several refugees told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that there are very few healthcare centres in the camp that cannot cater for the whole population.

They claimed that some people have died from typhoid and malaria but they could not provide any figures.

The refugees reiterated their call to the warring parties to end the fighting and bring peace to the country so they can return to their homes.
