The influx of South Sudanese into Sudan’s West Kordofan state continues, according to citizens from Meiram town.
South Sudanese citizens from Northern Bahr el Ghazal have continued to cross to Sudan’s neighboring states amid harsh economic situation in their homeland.
Several citizens from Meiram town told Radio Tamazuj that dozens of South Sudanese are arriving daily to the area, saying a number of humanitarian organizations are receiving and provide them with food and other services.
“A huge number of displaced people from South Sudan are coming here daily with their families,” said one citizen.
He added that many of the displaced people after arriving to Meiram leave to other parts of South while some remain after getting refugee cards from humanitarian organizations working in the area.
