S Sudan police to introduce speed controls after bus accident

Police plan to introduce speed gun monitors after several fatal accidents involving buses traveling along the Juba Nimule highway.

The decision was announced after an accident in Nesitu area along Juba- Nimule road. The accident occurred after a bus owned by the Bakulu Company collided with a passenger taxi.

One person was killed and more than twenty injured in the traffic accident that occurred on Sunday, according to Radio Miraya.

The Director of the South Sudan Traffic Police, General James Biel said the Bakulu Company is using old buses and needs to be inspected otherwise “our people will continue to die.”

He says the speed gun technology will be implemented soon.
