S Sudan oil exports to drop 8.7% in November

South Sudan will export an estimated 4.2 million barrels of oil in November, an 8.7% drop from the estimated 4.6 million barrels which were exported in October.

According to a report citing trade sources published in Platts, an energy industry news agency, Malaysian oil company Petronas issued a tender to transport 1 million barrels of South Sudanese oil next month, and has already sold another 600,000 barrels for November.

Meanwhile, South Sudan’s Ministry of Petroleum and Mining is selling 2.6 million barrels for transport in November. Platts said this is down 3 million barrels from October.

All the South Sudanese oil for export is Dar Blend from blocks 3 and 7 in Upper Nile State. The Unity State fields producing Nile Blend remain shut down due to fighting.
