The Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC) is expected to meet tomorrow for the first time since the formation of the Transitional Government of National Unity.
JMEC’s secretariat revealed that the main agenda will be hearing a report from the Transitional Government of National Unity, hearing a progress report on humanitarian access, then hearing reports from institutions reporting to JMEC.
Presentations will be made by the ceasefire monitoring body (CTSAMM), Joint Monitoring and Ceasefire Commission, Strategic Defense and Security Review board and National Constitutional Amendment Committee.
“Progress on the report of establishment of JMT (Joint Management Team) for police, JIP (Joint Integrated Police) and JOC (Joint Operations Center) and possible recommendations on the way forward,” are also on he agenda.
JMEC’s deputy chairman will further provide a report on consultations with other political parties, which were earlier in dispute over appointment of members to the parliament.
