South Sudan’s Minister of Defense Kuol Manyang Juuk is in Cairo, Egypt for a four-day visit where he is scheduled to hold talks with Egypt officials on boosting military cooperation.

Sources indicated that the minister will meet senior government officials to discuss cooperation on military training and armament, and how South Sudan can benefit from the Egyptian expertise.

Kuol will discuss the current developments in South Sudan and the region, according to the same sources.

Kuol was received Monday night by senior officials from Egypt’s Ministry of Defense and South Sudan Ambassador to Egypt Anthony Kon.
