South Sudan President Salva Kiir chaired a cabinet session Tuesday that passed a supplementary budget for Jonglei’s Greater Pibor Administration Area ruled by David Yau Yau.

Government spokesperson Michael Makuei said the budget was presented by the office of the president.

Makuei noted that the budget allocates 680,000 SSP for administration and another 250,000 to integrate the Cobra faction into the SPLA-Juba.

Yau Yau was appointed chief administrator of Greater Pibor after a lengthy fight between his Cobra militia and the SPLA. He reports to the office of the president.
