13 police personnel have been arrested for allegedly stealing 300,000 SSP from Juba’s police headquarters 10 October.

13 police personnel have been arrested for allegedly stealing 300,000 SSP from Juba’s police headquarters 10 October.

Police spokesperson James Monday Enocka told Radio Tamazuj that the 13 suspects were on duty the night of the robbery at the South Sudan police general administration headquarters in Buluk.

The 300,000 SSP were meant for the September salaries of police personnel working in the General Administration in the ten states.

Enocka said they are now under investigation and the Criminal Investigation Department has visited the scene and taken fingerprints.

He added the suspects will be tried in a police court.

Previously, 15 people were arrested over the stolen money.
