Russia will end its peacekeeping mission in South Sudan later this month. A Russian military cargo plane will carry four helicopters and other equipment out of the country later this week, said defence ministry spokesman Vladimir Drik. The 120 peacekeepers will withdraw at a later date. Russia sent peacekeepers to Sudan in 2006 to assist UN observers and carry out rescue missions.
