RSS border police injure 3 in protest over salaries

South Sudanese border police officers fired randomly yesterday, wounding three civilians at Wantao in Jouda Fakar, on the border with While Nile state.

Adam Gaja was one of those injured alongside two women who were not named.

Ngor Chol, an official in the area, claimed that members of the border police force caused such injuries while protesting a delay in their salaries.

The situation has since been brought under control, claimed Chol, in coordination with the Jouda administrative unit in Sudan, noting that the victims were transferred to Jabileen hospital in White Nile state for treatment.
