The leader of Sudan’s paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) which has been fighting the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) since 15 April 2023 on Wednesday faulted the Egyptian Air Force for bombarding RSF positions and supporting the SAF with training and drones.

Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, in a video, said Cairo was directly involved in airstrikes targeting his forces.

He further stated that Egypt has been training the Sudanese army and supplying drones, aggravating the ongoing fighting in Sudan.

The involvement of Egypt in the Sudanese conflict, if confirmed, adds a complex layer to regional politics, raising concerns about the potential for further escalation.
