The workers’ representative Hasaballa Osman Mohamed told the UN radio service that the company has workers in different sectors including Wau, Gok Machar, Aweil, Tambura and Kwajok, all of which he said have not been paid.

“We met with the Director of Projects and he presented the report to the Director General. The Director General said on the 30th of October he will pay all the salaries of the workers. We said 30 October is the limit. If salaries do not come, we will go to the law,” he said.

“By 30 October, salaries did not come and we have gone to the law,” he noted, speaking on Radio Miraya FM.
