Rizig visits Malong during SPLM leadership conference

The governor of Western Bahr al-Ghazal State Rizig Zacharia visited his counterpart the Governor of Northern Bahr al-Ghazal State Paul Malong yesterday in the midst of a meeting of his state’s ruling party.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, Justin Abo Saleh, the information officer of the government of Western Bahr al-Ghazal, said that the two governors were in a closed meeting discussing the security situation in the two states.

At the same time, the SPLM held a closed meeting in Wau, where leadership issues were discussed. According to the information officer, the Western Bahr al-Ghazal governor joined the SPLM meeting after concluding his visit to Aweil.

Governor Rizig Zacharia reportedly briefed the party leaders on his visit to the northern neighboring state and spoke on the importance of the unity of the SPLM leaders in Western Bahr al-Ghazal, to put aside their differences, renounce tribalism and craft a clear political strategy for the party.
