Rizeigat tribe receives compensation for killings by Dinka Malual

The native administration of the Arab Reziegat tribe has received blood money for two people who were killed from their side in 2012 by members of the Dinka Malual tribe.

The native administration of the Arab Reziegat tribe has received blood money for two people who were killed from their side in 2012 by members of the Dinka Malual tribe.

The compensation is worth 62,000 pounds and was paid through an inter-border peace committee in the presence of the Acting Governor of Northern Bahr al Ghazal State Salva Chol Ayat.

The acting governor commended the peaceful coexistence between the Dinka Malual and Rizeigat tribes. He advised the two sides to adhere to pervious peace agreements signed by them.

For his part, Hussein Hasaballah, a Rizeigat tribal leader, confirmed to Radio Tamazuj that he received the compensation from a state advisor on inter-border relations in Northern Bahr al Ghazal.

Hussein praised what he termed as “historic ties” between the two tribes. The traditional leader asserted that his tribe is keen to maintain the existing peaceful coexistence and stabilities between the two tribes.
