The main road between Juba and Torit is now fast gaining notoriety because of the increasing incidents of robberies reported since last week, a local official said.
Torit County Commissioner Lodoviko Oriem Albert told Radio Tamazu on Wednesday that the security situation deteriorated again after reports of robberies along the route.
The local official revealed that travellers were robed along the Juba-Torit road and others were also robed along the Magwui-Torit road by criminals.
Separately, Commissioner Oriem said that a child was abducted in the area of Yangari by suspected criminals from Boma State.
