The ruling party in Jur River County of Western Bahr el Ghazal is sharply divided over leadership of the county secretariat.

County Commissioner Simon Atwai said that the SPLM Secretariat has divided into two blocks, one loyal to Wau Municipal Deputy Mayor Santino Manut and the other loyal to State Security Advisor Wol Dhel Thiap, Voice of Hope reported.

He warned that the sharp division must come to an end as the SPLM caucus convenes on Saturday to determine the legitimate executive leadership members. The commissioner advised the two members to put aside differences and work together.
