Residents of Mundri town in Western Equatoria State are facing hard conditions and serious lack of food, according to sources on the run in the bush.
The conflict affected population is reportedly scattered with children and elderly people among them, following heavy gunfire last week involving the SPLA and unknown gunmen.
“These people are really suffering due to lack of food as they taking refuge in the bush,” one source said.
Insecurity in the area which started last week has forced most residents to flee their homes in Mundri and Jambu.
“The town is deserted,” one resident said.
