The presence of the Ethiopian troops in South Sudan's Pochalla has raises fear and concern among many citizens, who also complain that the troops are taking from their water sources in the area.

Residents of Pochalla North County fear the presence of about 3000 Ethiopian soldiers in the area, a source informed Radio Tamazuj from Pochalla.

Women also complain that these troops are taking water from the water points in the county. “People, especially women are complaining that they are taking water by force,” said a local source.

The troops who currently camps one kilometer away from Pochalla town are likely to stay until they recover children abducted from Ethiopia's Gambella region last month. Governor Baba Medan of Boma State is reportedly in Pibor town to help recover the children from his tribesmen.

Last month, armed men from Boma State attacked Gambella in Ethiopia killing dozens and abducting over 100 children, a move that resulted in the deployment of Ethiopian troops inside South Sudan.

Earlier this week the commissioner of Pochalla North told Radio Tamazuj that the Ethiopian troops are still in South Sudan.
