Registration of 3000 new refugees from Blue Nile

Refugees from Blue Nile at Doro camp in Upper Nile state welcomed on Wednesday registration efforts undertaken by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) for new arrivals at the camp and the distribution of complete food rations.

There continues to be a steady flow of refugees from Blue Nile. Omda Alsimit Alemam at Doro said that UNHCR until yesterday has finished registration of nearly three thousand refugees, and a new distribution of cards for the food share.

He explained that UNHCR completed the full registration of approximately three thousand refugees.

Omda Alemam also explained that foods rations have been distributed to all refugees, adding that the monthly share is about a half kilo of maize.

He also stated that UNHCR are about to start to divide the camp into blocks in order to facilitate inventory of the refugees and the possibility of providing better services, as the number of refugees at the camp is increasing.
