Rebels claim victory over army troops, SAF dismisses build-up in South Kordofan

The spokesperson for the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Jibril Adam Bilal, has announced that JEM fighters have defeated Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) troops during clashes in Abu Dumou, south of Abu Zabad on Friday and Saturday. He added that the SAF sustained losses of lives and equipment.

The spokesperson for the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Jibril Adam Bilal, has announced that JEM fighters have defeated Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) troops during clashes in Abu Dumou, south of Abu Zabad on Friday and Saturday. He added that the SAF sustained losses of lives and equipment.

The official spokesman for the SAF, Col. El Sawarmi Khalid Saad, vehemently dismissed the alleged clashes in Abu Dumou. The said clashes took place over the last ten days in which JEM forces were expelled in the area, according to the Sudanese army officer.  

Saad also dismissed a SAF build-up at Kauda in South Kordofan.
