The rebel-appointed governor of South Sudan’s Phow state has issued a decree appointing five county commissioners in the state.

The rebel-appointed governor of South Sudan’s Phow state has issued a decree appointing five county commissioners in the state.

Governor Johnson Kuol Gai, according to a statement extended to Radio Tamazuj, appointed James Nuot Puot as the new commissioner of Fangak South County and Bob Koryom Gai as the new commissioner of Fangak North County.

The opposition official also appointed Lual Gony Yuot as the commissioner of Mogok County, Gatkuoth Biel Reat as the new commissioner of Central Fangak County and John Kan Gatluak as the commissioner of Wau County.

The gubernatorial decree came into effect as from 21 October.
