Two people were killed in an attack by an armed group in Tor area in South Sudan’s Unity State, according to rebel sources.
Gai Dang Kolang, the official spokesman of the defected troops in Unity, told Radio Tamazuj that unidentified gunmen attacked them in Tor area, killing a woman and a young girl.
Kolang said the gunmen crossed from neighbouring Warrap State and stole nearly 300 head of cattle.
Kolang urged authorities in Warrap to control armed groups and reiterated his commitment to the cessation of hostilities agreement signed in Ethiopia between rebels and the Juba government.
The spokesman also accused militia under command of Matthew Pul Jang along the Warrap-Unity border of carrying out frequent attacks on them.
Radio Tamazuj could not reach the Warrap authorities to comment on the allegations.
