“The major role of radio is giving news to the listeners. The other aspect is entertainment, it can appease you when you [feel] misery and agony,” Garang Tuk commented on Radio Tamazuj’s Facebook page on February 8.
To mark World Radio Day on February 13, Radio Tamazuj asked people in South Sudan about the role radio plays in their lives, especially in view of the country’s violent conflict that is ongoing since December 2013.
