Residents of Sargilla village of Talas Locality in Sudan’s South Darfur state have accused a pro-government militia of carrying out what they called, “systematic” looting of civilians’ properties in the area on Sunday.
A resident, who preferred anonymity, told Radio Tamazuj on Sunday the militia was sent by the state governor to recover stolen cattle by the Fallata community, but they instead looted civilians’ property.
Mohammed Hamid, another local resident, said among the properties looted included valuables like jewellery.
