In a press statement in Damazin town, Adam Mohammed El Amin, the Minister of Education said nearly 9,232 pupils were eligible to sit for the examinations in all localities of the state. He added that they had already fixed some centers in Damazin for pupils from Kurmuk and Baw localities.

Separately, the teachers’ union in the state issued a statement threatening not to mark the examination papers if their incentives are not paid.
