Prices shoot up in South Kordofan capital

Citizens in Kadugli town in Sudan’s South Kordofan State have reported high prices of commodities amid lack of transport these days at the market.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj, several residents attributed the problem to the scarcity of gasoline in the town. The citizens also complained about soaring prices of essential goods, saying the prices of onions increased to 5 SDG, whereas a kilogram of meat reached 48 SDG.

“The market is not good, the prices are shooting up,” said one of the citizens. “Now there is no gasoline, there is no transport in Kadugli, it going to three days now. So people are not happy."
