Prices of basic consumer goods have gone up sharply at the market in the town of Babanusa in Sudan’s West Kordofan State.
Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday, several residents complained about soaring prices of essential goods saying the prices of onions increased to 2,500 SDG, whereas a jerican of cooking oil reached 1,100 SDG.
The complaining residents attributed the problem to poor road conditions in the area.
