Prices of consumer commodities have dramatically dropped recently at the market in northernmost Warawar market in South Sudan’s Northern Bahr El Ghazal State.

Prices of consumer commodities have dramatically dropped recently at the market in northernmost Warawar market in South Sudan’s Northern Bahr El Ghazal State.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Monday, the deputy head of Warawar market committee   John Dut stated the market is relatively stable and flourishing this year compared to the previous year, especially commodities coming from Sudan.

The official noted that the flow of goods through the road connecting the area with Sudan’s East Darfur and West Kordofan States has contributed to the stability in prices at the market.

Several traders attributed the reason to relative improvement in security situation in the area.
