Presidential adviser urges Dinka to respect other tribes

Daniel Awet Akot, presidential advisor on Military Affairs has called on members of his ethnic Dinka at home and in the national capital, Juba, to respect other tribes in the country.

Daniel Awet Akot, presidential advisor on Military Affairs has called on members of his ethnic Dinka at home and in the national capital, Juba, to respect other tribes in the country.

 Awet made his call during the final prayer services  for late Akucjang Goljok, Mother of the former Deputy Chief Justice Ruben Madol Arol, who died at Juba teaching hospital in Juba this month. He pointed out that loving one another will move young nation forward. The Advisor told the mourners that he will be travelling to former Lakes State on Saturday this week ahead of Christmas, where he will disseminate the message of peace to three states of the defunct Lakes state.

The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Chan Reec Madut, who attended the prayers and hailed from Dinka tribe, concurred with the message of Daniel Awet. He told the mourners to respect the laws of the country. The funeral rite prayer was attended by senior government officials including the former Governor of Warrap state, Nyandeng Malek Deilic.
