Presidential Adviser tells citizens to unite, forget the past

Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs, Daniel Awet Akot on Monday this week held a one day meeting with greater Toc communities of Tiaptiap,Pagor and Citchok at Malualchum Payam in Gok state. Awet called on the communities to forget the past and work for the future of Gok state. He added that all the criminals must be apprehended and taken to the courts to face justice.

Gok state Governor, Madhang Majok Meen, also echoed the statement, urging greater Toc community to join hands with the state government in order to achieve development and stability. The Commissioner of Tiaptiap County in Gok state, Maguek Nyuar Meen, thanked Daniel Awet Akot and the state Governor for visiting his county to normalize the ongoing tension between the two sections of Panyaar and Waat Adol.

County commissioner assured his county readiness to support the state and National governments to make a dream of SPLM vision of taking services closer to the grass root people a reality.

Last year 2016, the Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs, Daniel Awet Akot left Juba for his State Gok ahead of Christmas festival to disseminate the National dialogue that was announced by the President Kiir and also to talk to his people.  The official is expected to meet with the communities of Duony and Abiriu counties before returning to the national capital, Juba.
