The Presidential Adviser on Military Affairs Daniel Awet Akot on Sunday last week at Episcopal Church of Sudan and South Sudan in Cueibet county of Gok state, calls on state’s citizens to forgive each other and work for peace and unity in the state. Awet made his call during the prayers on Sunday.

He told the citizens to start disseminating on the recent announced National Dialogue by the President of the Republic of South Sudan Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit. Awet added that let the year 2017, be for peace and forgiveness among South Sudanese people so as to move the young nation forward.

Gok state Governor, Madhang Majok Meen echoed calls for unity and peace in the state. Governor Madhang appreciated Daniel Awet for visiting his home area to share the word of God and also to address his people. The Bishop of Cueibet Diocese in Gok State, Elijah Matueny Awet appealed to the state leaders and the country at large to prioritize peace in the country to allow development.

 The prayers were attended by thousands of Christians including Presidential Adviser, Daniel Awet Akot who came from Juba on Saturday last week ahead of Christmas.
