President Kiir to visit Khartoum on tomorrow

South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit is expected to make an official visit to the Sudanese capital, Khartoum on Wednesday to discuss a number of issues with his Sudanese counterpart Omer Al-Bashir.

Presidential spokesperson Ateny Wek Ateny told Radio Tamazuj on Monday that Kiir and Bashir are expected to discuss reactivation of the 2012 cooperation agreements as well as other issues concerning the two countries.

Ateny revealed that the issue of the disputed region of Abyei is not part of the agenda of the meeting.

Sudan and South Sudan are unified by issues among others, refugees living along the borders and cross-border trade.
