President Kiir to address nation on economic hardship

South Sudan President Salva Kiir will hold a news conference Tuesday at state house in Juba about economic hardship in the country and the implementation of the ceasefire.

His spokesperson Ateny Wek Ateny said Kiir will reiterate his commitment to peace and the permanent ceasefire, and how the process of healing and reconciliation will begin.

Last Tuesday, the national parliament approved a 10,304,003,294 SSP budget for 2015/2016 fiscal year.

The parliament observed that the country has accumulated enormous debts through both internal and external loans without proper policy framework and guidelines for borrowing.
