South Sudan President Salva Kiir has returned home after a trip to China where he attended the 2018 Beijing Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and at the same time signed bilateral deals with the Chinese government.
President Kiir also met with a number of Chinese companies that promised to implement development projects in South Sudan.
In a press statement upon arrival this afternoon, the Minister in the Office of the President, Mayiik Ayii Deng said President Kiir met with President Xi Jinping and attended the 2018 Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
“The summit and the meeting President Kiir held with President Xi Jinping went very excellent,” Mayiik said.
