Polisario Front leader Brahim Ghali has congratulated South Sudan’s President Salva Kiir on the occasion of the 6th independence anniversary.
“On behalf of the Saharawi People and on my own behalf, I extend sincere congratulations on your 6th anniversary South Sudan Independence Day. I wish you and the people of South Sudan happiness, continued success and prosperity,” said Ghali in a congratulatory message extended to the Sahara Press Service.
“Ever since South Sudan’s independence, six years ago, we enjoy a very special friendship between our countries and our people. This friendship, consolidated by support and trust, has bound the Sahrawi Arab democratic Republic and the Republic of South Sudan –two geographically distant but close countries in terms of values and intense desire for freedom,” adds the statement.
Ghali said South Sudan has become a key partner and ally of the Saharawi Arab Democratic Republic when working together in the African Union.
