The police shot and killed a suspected thief in the Mankien area of South Sudan’s Northern Liech State on Saturday, a local official said.
Security adviser Gordon Malou Chiling told Radio Tamazuj Sunday that the incident took place when the police found a group of thieves trying to steal cattle and break into a local organisation in Mankien area of Bul South County.
The state adviser said the aggressor killed was known as the “biggest cattle thief” in the area. “The group has been causing insecurity in Mankien area, so it is good that the police have managed to kill one of them," he said.
