A police officer in Juba has shot dead his father mistakenly after knocking his door early in the morning at around 1 AM on Tuesday, neighbors said.
The officer thought his father was an armed robber.
The incident took place in Juba’s Gudele 1 Block 5. The father recently came from Sudan on a visit to his family.
The officer opened fire and seriously wounded his father who died after he was rushed to hospital.
