Police officer kills family members and neighbour in Juba

A police officer was arrested for allegedly killing two of his family members and a neighbour at Hai Mauna in South Sudan’s capital Juba on Friday, a spokesman for the police service said.

Brig. Daniel Justin Boula, Spokesperson for South Sudan’s Police Service, told Radio Tamazuj that a police officer returned back to his home and shot dead three people who were watching television at home.

“That man came when people were watching television at home, so he came and entered the house, we don’t know what happened exactly, he came out with a gun and shot at his wife and his brother.  He also shot at a lady who was watching television, she was a neighbour, "said Justin.

Justin pointed out that they arrested the perpetrator and that investigations are underway to know the motive behind the incident. He pointed out that they managed to control the security situation during the Christmas holiday.
