A police officer working at Jebel Market guarding a forex bureau was found dead this morning. People who gathered to see the dead body said there were no visible external injuries.

An eyewitness explained that the forex bureau did not appear to have been robbed.

“When I came here I only see him lying on the ground holding soap at his hand. I saw water in a bucket near him. His gun is also next to him. He guards this forex bureau but today we woke up and found him dead,’’ said another bystander who works in Jebel Market.

Police who arrived at the scene said the body of the deceased would be taken to Juba Teaching Hospital for examination to establish the cause of death.
