Police officers in Kuajok have been arresting youth for wearing earrings and other jewelry, sources tell Radio Tamazuj.
It is not clear why the police are targeting the youth for their clothing, the sources said.
Several sources on the ground have also said that police have been entering into hotels to search for banned alcoholic drinks.
Radio Tamazuj was unable to reach the state police commissioner for comment.
