The police in Unity State arrested three individuals following a fight between members of a gang and police in the Bentiu IDP camp on Tuesday.
According to Captain John Malieth, the state police spokesperson, three men attacked the police in the Sector Three Market of the camp.
“Police apprehended three of the attackers and took them to Bentiu Central Police Station for investigation,” he said. “A police officer who was injured was taken to Bentiu Hospital for treatment.”
The police are actively investigating the incident and will take all three individuals involved in the fighting to court,” Malieth added.
He said the other perpetrators will be identified, investigated, and also arraigned in court.
