Traders and shops owners in the Sudan’s capital Khartoum have complained of rise in prices of goods in the market due to rise of dollar exchange against the Sudanese pound.

Traders and shops owners in the Sudan’s capital Khartoum have complained of rise in prices of goods in the market due to rise of dollar exchange against the Sudanese pound.

Mawia Ibrahim Juma, a bookshop owner in al-Arabi market said the rise of dollar exchange rate has forced many customers not to buy anything.

Bashir Abdu Algadir, a shoes trader, said the rise in dollar exchange rate forced them to halt their business. He added they import the shoes from Egypt but when they bring it to Sudan they find the dollar price is high.
