Citizens of Pochalla county in South Sudan’s Greater Pibor Administrative Area fear further unrest after six people were killed in a fight this week between guards of the Anyuak King and youth loyal to the county commissioner.
Fifteen others were injured in the fight which took place Wednesday 15 July. The wounded were airlifted to Juba on Saturday for medical treatment, according to a source.
The group that fought with the guards had threatened to shoot down an airplane carrying the Anyuak king if he came to Pochalla, the source said.
Another source alleged that mobilization had taken place in other areas around Pochalla County.
Two people were killed in Pochalla County on 13 June over food distribution.
