Pochalla official calls for police deployment to provide security

Authorities in Pochalla County in South Sudan’s Boma State have called for deployment of police forces to provide security to local residents in the county.

Speaking to Radio Tamazuj on Tuesday, the Commissioner of Pochalla County, Jay Adingora Alual, said there is an urgent need to deploy security forces to stop killings and child abductions in the county.

“There is no police in Pochalla County,” said Alual who is now in Juba.

On 15 June, three people were reported killed and one child abducted in an attack by cattle raiders in Agolodiek area.
