Pochalla county residents have urged politicians to intervene and prevent escalating violence following a fight at a food distribution that left at least two people dead last week.
Sources from the county said that four people from Pochalla North county were arrested in Pochalla on Sunday in connection with the incident and are being detained in a military prison there. However, others say the arrested men were not involved in the clash.
Security forces have been deployed to the area and are now containing the situation sources told Radio Tamazuj.
On Sunday, members of parliament representing Pochalla South met in Juba to discuss the situation.
The situation remains calm but unpredictable as the residents remain in the bush.
Residents fleeing the violence said they fear revenge attacks from both sides if the root causes are not properly addressed.
“Some people whose family members were killed or injured might also revenge and vice-versa”, a resident from the area said.
Anyuak King Neya Akway Agada is scheduled to return to Pochalla in the coming days to help.
MPs representing Pochalla County in both national and states legislative assembly are being urged by the county resident to immediately visit the county and reconcile the warring parties.

A source who attended the meeting claimed that they discussed revenge as an option.
