Pochalla commissioner laments shortage of life-saving drugs

The hard-to-reach area of Pochalla in South Sudan’s Boma state is reeling under the shortage of essential life-saving drugs for nearly a year, a local official said.

The Commissioner of Pochalla County, Jay Adingora Alual, told Radio Tamazuj today that the people of his county are suffering due to acute shortages of medicines in all health facilities in the area.

The local official described the health situation as very bad in Pochalla, pointing out that the health facilities did not have medicines since June last year.

Alual urged health organizations to intervene and assist the needy people as soon as possible before their situation worsens further.
