Plan International, a non-governmental organization, announced a two year strategic plan on Thursday that will focus on aiding communities in Jonglei, Lake, Central, and Eastern Equatoria states. The organization's strategy will focus on education, empowering youth, and agricultural projects, Daniel Muchena, the organization's country director said.

The strategic plan is “going to focus much more on continuing our development programs with our sponsorship funding, but at the same time begin to tap into some recovery”, Muchena said.

He said the organization will focus on engaging education officials and parents on the importance of schooling for children, especially girls.
