Campaign posters have proliferated in the Sudanese capital ahead of a national vote on Monday. In spite of this, popular interest in the election is weak, according to some citizens interviewed in Khartoum.
One man said he did not even know where the polling would take place or when, nor who the candidates were. Another citizen said he looked forward more to enjoying the holiday time that would be given on election day.
On the other hand, the citizen Ali Hassan said that he would go to his village to vote. Meanwhile, many posters of President Omar al Bashir appeared on the streets and in buses.
