Central Equatoria State’s newly appointed cabinet took an oath of office on Friday before the Governor of Central Equatoria State Clement Wani Konga.
Speaking on Friday after the ceremony, Governor Konga tasked his new cabinet to work in uniting the people of the state. He warned his cabinet not to use government money inappropriately such as for personal medical treatment abroad but instead to use it for development projects in the state.
“There should be unity among the people of South Sudan so as to enable the government to seek a peaceful solution to the current war that occurred on 15 December,” Konga told the new ministers.
The newly appointed 14 cabinet ministers are as follows:
